Dona, I enjoyed your post very much! Thank you so much for sharing that bit of "winter at Farley's." Wonderful to read about. Wow, what an amazing number of waterfowl on the lake. And how much fun it must be to watch the bald eagle family.
I thought I'd share a few tips for you, or anyone else who's interested, on how to post a photo to the blog. (I've posted a photo here of our Basil doing what he loves more than anything in the world -- swimming in Cayuga Lake!)
First, assuming you're one of the folks signed up as a blog contributor, simply sign in. Then click on "New Post," and the window that you would type the text into comes up.
Across the top of this window is a row of icons you can click on to modify the entry -- to adjust font style, color, alignment of the text, etc. If your screen is like mine, the third icon from the right is a small, colorful square that looks like a photo. This is the "add image" button.
Click on this, and you will be guided through a series of steps in uploading a photo from your computer to the blog. The first step will be to click on the "choose file" button, which will allow you to locate the image you want according to where you have it saved on your computer.
Please don't be daunted; it's all pretty user-friendly, and much easier than it may seem at the outset!
Good luck, and warm wishes to all our friends wintering at Farley's.
